Flashcards patches and updates
Latest update takes Flashcards to version 4.13
Update History:
4.13: (3 March 2009)
Fixed: Crashed on occasions when adding a new child name
Changed: Startup routine abbreviated

4.12: (1 August 2008)
Fixed: The arrow keys for navigating through the flash cards only worked if a video was played
Fixed: A black screen played at the start of each video.
Files were added to prevent Flashcards being unstable in Vista if Adobe Flash player or Shockwave player had been installed. This makes for a bigger download but should solve some random crashes experienced by a few Vista users.

4.11: (30 July 2008)
Fixed: Right clicking on a word in a set and then selecting "done" caused a script error.
Fixed: When recording sound the recording bar appeared in the wrong place.
4.10: (25 July 2008)
Fixed: Problem with US version (in 4.00.8) reporting USSound not found.
Changed: Major re-write of video engine for video formats other than Quicktime (mov) and RealMedia (rm, rmv) formats. This allows any the use of any video for which the codec is installed (so should support all digital cameras), improves video performance and should give much better stability (especially in Vista). Microsoft DirectShow is now used to control all video formats except Quicktime and RealMedia.
Added: Can now use left and right arrows to navigate flash card displays in manual advance (left arrow repeats the flash card)
Added: Right clicking on the word stops a video playing when displaying flash cards
After you have installed this update you may have to reset the volume levels for "other sounds" in the menu to hear the sound of videos.
NOTE: As this is a major update, please report any problems you encounter, especially playing videos.

4.00.8: (6 June 2008)
Fixed a number of Vista issues associated with selecting files and also with setting the microphone level when recording sounds.

4.00.7: (12 Apr 2008)
Adds a text entry box to the page where sets are created. Words can now be typed straight into sets rather than having to select them from a list with the mouse. If the word is not in the database or the list of added words, you will be asked if you want to add the word.

4.00.6: (12 Jan 2008)
Gives more help when video codecs are needed for video files in Flashcards. This is especially helpful in Vista because of the lack of codec natively included in Vista.
For downloaded version, fixes a problem with possibly failing to install when US language selected
A variety of bugs fixed
4.00.5:
For recording or changing sounds, a button now opens the recorded sound for editing if a sound editor such as WavePad, Audacity or SoundForge is installed
Changed the sound processor in all versions of Windows to QuickTime if that is installed and if not, in Vista to DirectSound, to reduce the gap between sounds and fix occasional sound malfunctions in Vista.
4.00.4:
Fixes a problem with selecting a picture from all the pictures in the database - the wrong picture could be selected
4.00.3:
Provides an option for allowing avi video files when running under Windows Vista.
A video codec pack supporting avi files needs to be installed for this option to work, otherwise an error will occur when running Flashcards. Several video codec packs for Windows Vista which provide avi file support are available for free download.
4.00.2:
Enables the mouse scroll wheel to be used on screens with long lists
4.00.1:
Fixes problem with database videos not displaying when partial install selected with CD version
Fixes script error when clicking on the name of the default video when choosing a video
